You spot simple tactics sometimes but not always. You know opening names but drift into positions without a plan. Opponents punish slow moves and passive piece placement.
What to work on
- Candidate moves — always consider at least two options in critical positions
- Piece activity — worst piece improvement before pawn storms
- Puzzle difficulty up — harder problems, fewer total
- Phase review — is your opening accuracy high but middlegame crashes?
